When it had black mk5 r32 rims i refurbed:

Remapped last week:

M3 Rear lights fitted last night:

And today i'm pissed off, there was play in o/s/f wheel - tie rod, took it to me local garage to use there ramps and compressor and got it stripped down, bloody track rod end was knackered. had to pay over the odds at the factors that was next door, £33. could of had it at £18.

I'm skint hence my dissapointment :(

Ok a few updates, My bodywork came back from bodyshop and is on, pics of that soon as car is very dirty.

I've removed my R32 brakes for a 4 pot aston martin setup - Less unsprung weight over the front wheels and 2 extra pots, using 323mm discs.

R32 brakes off including the stainless lines(only 400 miles old)

Got the aston ones with used discs/pads, im using them for now, ill change them out soon.. As is;

Engine bay, Painted rocker:

Updates have been slow.......Engine is now back out:

Summary:

All Pictures

So engine going back.... Well i've got options, but money is problem. I originally tried to find a 32 lump for decent money, there was nothing around 1k area, then last night there was one, in went in 15 mins, great. I bought a cheap agu engine recently just because it was cheap, so i could clean that up, upgrade bits and bolt it back in.... Seems the likely thing at the moment, ive just ordered INA Hi flow manifold for the 1.8t, i've got my K03s and everything still, also got some high lift cams and injectors so i might bang it all back in, straight swap and go to r-tech for a map tweak.

Well alot of progress for today, Started at 9.30am and only just come in a 7pm, Im walking like a banana "ahhhh me back".

Engines back in and NEW brakes !

Engine going in:

Quite annoying - The metal waterpipe running the length of the engine was found to be cracked/pissing coolant on start up, so just wasted £14 in coolant and now have to remove/refit another. Annoying !

Removed the aston martin brakes, i thought they were big....Now Porsche BIG reds ! Mahoooosive, only about a mm to spare before catching wheels.

Got some lines off Daveb to match them:
