Polished it. Much better, got rid of some bad marks but if I use a flash on my camera it shows swirls still. I guess machining is required. Without the flash it looks fantastic though.
A black car is a labour of love - I’ve had quite a few, and keeping them looking good can take a lot of time and effort.
Yes, it would be extremely difficult - if not impossible (and very hard work!) to hand polish an entire car to remove paintwork swirls. Machine polishing with an appropriate combination of pad and polish is the only real solution to remove the swirls.
If you’ve used Autoglym Super Resin Polish, it contains fillers, which will help to hide the swirls, but unfortunately it won’t remove them.
