Title: Indicators. H reg

I've a problem in that they don't work. All bulbs are fine as they flash with alarm and hazards. The indicator dash light I constantly on really dim when the stalk in central and then when I go to indicate the dash light stays solid bright green, i.e doesn't flash but the indicators don't work. Now, the car is been sitting for some time but I thought they were working fine, then I had an auto electrician to fit new alarm and immobiliser and he said the indicators don't work.. so is there anything he could have unknowingly done for this to happen, or does anyone have a clue what's happened?
I've changed relay and no Change.

Any help appreciated

Wiggle the plug on back of stalk. Im sure when the stalks not connected the lights on dash constant
