Alloy wheel refurbishers
« on: 19 September 2009, 18:02 »
Anyone know of any in or around Bournemouth/Poole area? I contacted Ooops near here, but for the price they charge, I would expect them back at the very LEAST, gold plated.
The Spanish refurbished them about a year ago, but the Spanish being Spanish, they did a crap job (no surprise there) by making them look good, but obviously skimped on the preparation, and now the paint is peeling off. Not happy but hey ho. They just need stripping and painting. No repair work as there is no damage.

Considered doing it yourself?

Not that difficult to do with a bit of prep and at least you'll know the jobs been done properly, or not

I have done wheels myself before, but if truth be known, I can't be arsed. Especially with multispoke alloys. :embarassed:

BJV seem to be well recommended and the prices look very reasonable.

Not exactly local to you, but not a million miles away
