i was told my car has had paint as they did not do metallic mk1's.

If you want to check if it's had paint then look in the boot or lift the carpet up and see what colour the floor is. :wink: Where did you get the paint code from, from a sticker in your cab ? If it is a Wolfsburg Edition then I've absolutely no idea what that means !

paint code is on orig sticker in boot. :)

mine is inca blue metallic han..
that also gives you the different models han, if you look on the list at the left..

edit: note at the bottom of the list of colours..

that explains it then. i was worried as to why an english car could have come from the german factory.. or did they all?

Poor han... VW's are German makes.... you figure it out?!  :laugh:

Yeah han there were sum made at different plants..
wolfsburg, etc..
and that cab website states that all '80-'93 VW convertibles were assembled at Karmann's factory in Osnabrück, Germany..which is what i tried to explain to Paul a few weeks back as I had a "k" in my vin.. :smug:
