Thieves scoundrels and utter helmets!!
« on: 21 May 2012, 19:38 »
Really just a rant at the absolute pr**ks that advertise thier parts on forums, then when you send them your hard earned cash they stick two fingers up and you loose your money when they don't send them. I mean we all come on forums for our love of cars and when you try to save a few quid and get second hand parts then end up with no parts and zero funds because someone is basically a robbing git!!!
Wish we could ban these people from forums, or at least have them refused from selling parts again. Dont know if many of you have come across this but it's certainly put me off using the classified section now???

PM JV or topher with all the details, only buy from someone with lots of posts (1000's) and who seems to be well known, do a bit of digging on the seller first.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

use paypal. doesent cost much and then money can be recoverd.

sorry but not sympathy for people who dont, hundreds of threads on here about people getting scammed, sadly not much the mods can do, they can block ip adresses and emails, but its not hard to get around that/go onto a different forum to scam someone.

hope its just the royal mail taking there time. but if not then learn from your mistakes

It's not too hard to not be scammed. I've had two attempted scammers.

I only buy from well known people or arrange to pick it up.

Even if you can't pick it up, ask first.  If they say no, it's almost definately a scam.

Paypal is not 100% to give your money back unless you purchase via eBay

if you didn't pay by paypal as a business transaction (not a gift) then you only have yourself to blame. to think that all people are honest is naive. don't trust anyone. ever.
