Breaker in Cheshire?
« on: 09 June 2009, 12:41 »
Can anyone recommend a good breaker for VW parts in Cheshire or surrounding areas (North Staffordshire, South Manchester, etc.)? I'm after some bits for my Mk4.

Thanks

Yeah, I'm only a couple of miles from there actually. It used to be great, until recently when they changed their policy and stopped the public from entering the yard. Now you have to order parts in advance. I find that if it's not a common part (e.g. gear knob) or expensive (e.g. gear box), they're not interested.

I much prefer the type of breaker where I can assess the condition of the part before carefully removing it myself

Is that Armstrong Vehicle Recycling? Looks pretty big - I'll definitely have to check that one out. Thanks!

I tried to call Golfnutz in Middlewich earlier, but they've gone (as has their website). I've just found their Northwich number, which rings, so will give them a call tomorrow.

Thanks!
