Title: only getting 125mph out of my 150PD????

hi all.

need some help here.i know i shouldnt be doing these speeds but i think everyone has to try it and when i did i could only get 125mph out of my 150PD.whats that all about?
anyone got any ideas as i dont have a clue.everything else seems to be working fine.a little turbo lag but  i think this is normal for the golf 150PD's

you should be getting more from your 150PD

i can get around 140 on the dial from mine but not really pushed it as its due a service ASAP

on paper top speed is 135 or 136, you should be able to get that easily even pulling from 80mph in 6th

strange one.well i have checked all the paperwork and all is correct so it is defo a 150PD unless someone swapped the engine before i bought it lol :laugh:

just dont understand it.

When you`ve had the service done, i`d be interested in a pic of you doin 140  :smiley:

When you`ve had the service done, i`d be interested in a pic of you doin 140  :smiley:

i should be able to get it in next week, i might have my sat-nav by then so would be able to see what the actual speed is and not what the dial is saying.

Cheers mate, if your satnavs gonna be a tomtom then it`ll read between 5-7mph more than the speedo

i got a tdi 100 remapped to 145 i have done 130mph piece of cake in it,  M62 11.00pm heading North towards Leeds.

 it gets to 120 no problem and then it takes it tiem but i squeezed 130 out of it.

well i'm either going to get a 710 or 910, i thought that the speedo's normally showed more that the GPS thought

My 710 defo show +5-7 more than my speedo

its maybe cause its due a service soon so that might sort it out.heres hoping.not that im going to be running around at full speed all the time but it keeps your mind at peace.

i got mine serviced a few weeks back, on opened it up in the week after, i managed to get 135 on the tom tom with the speedo showing about 137 ish

my tomtom 710 shows lower than the speedo @ 70 (on speedo) its showing about 65

i think i could probably get more than 135 as that was on a long sweeping bend M2 toward Gillingham turn off if anyone knows it, know there are a few lads from kent here

well not had it serviced and since last time i have tried again and hit the 140 mark-accordind to speedo.

dont know what happened last time but all seems well now.
