Hi Guys,
been shopping around today to insure my new Golf; tried HIC but found them the most expesnive at £594 (guy on the phone was good though - have to admit!). Also tried eCar who I found best for bike insurance when i insured my R1 - they were just chepaer than HIC at £515.
Did a quick search for Golf GTi car insurance and found http://www.vwgolfinsurance.co.uk/
Entered my details and hit the search button and got a deal through 1st Central for a spanking £358 - that's around 40% cheaper...
