central locking/windows
« on: 27 October 2009, 21:45 »
Just got myself a 16v GTi its going well so far but i need sum help with the central locking.

When i unlock the car the rear drivers side window drops slightly, i know that iv i hold it unlocked the windows roll down but i keep trying to just unlock rather than rol the windows down but am not having any luck atm.

Is this a common fault i couldnt find anything in the searchs i done??

Any advice??

I've only got an imoboliser fitted dnt have an alarm system in there atm, thought it was just standard central locking.

I know the guy before me put a few bits in from a VR but dnt think it was the central locking

Sounds like a short somewhere, try looking at the wires in the door grommet.
