Title: Dynaudio System in the Golf 6
Post by: deanjames on 15 October 2008, 21:13
Anybody know anything about this? I noticed in one of the new Golf GTi videos the speakers have Dynaudio written on them.

Also on the Dynaudio website it says that an ultimate high-end sound sytem is under development for Volkswagen in 2008/2009

I hope its like the Harmon Kardon in BMW's

I think its available in the scirocco already, StevePG has probably bought this system off the shelf  and is sitting in his bedroom stripping it down and sniffing the various parts.
I am sure he will be along soon to give you the low down.

^^^^^^

I've heard it in a Passat CC and wasn't particularly blown away. You could probably get a better sounding set up from an aftermarket system for half the price..................

Some info I found on WorldCarfans

Dynaudio sound system

The sound system developed for the Golf by Volkswagen and the Scandinavian hi-fi specialist Dynaudio can be paired with any of the 300 or 500 series units. The Dynaudio sound system offers pure high-tech sound: the four 168 millimeter woofers – made of a magnesium-silicate membrane, a very light 74 millimeter voice coil and an internal magnet design in a stiff plastic basket – provide for precise and powerful bass with high pulse fidelity in the doors and in the rear side panels. The 50 millimeter and 60 millimeter tweeters in the door and side trim supplement this sound with exceptionally clear transparency and complex sound impressions.

The loudspeaker system is supplied by a newly developed, digital 300 Watt amplifier; it consists of eight Class AB output amplifiers. The capabilities offered by the digital sound processor (DSP) for so-called propagation time correction (goal: to make a correction so that sound waves from all loudspeakers reach listeners’ ears simultaneously, regardless of their locations in the vehicle) and frequency equalization guarantee a sound experience of the highest level.

ROLF

It's true I am slightly obsessed by Dynaudio stuff and was having a play with the RNS-510 in a Passat Wagan yesterday which has this option and it sounded awesome for a factory fitted system

If the GTI-R becomes a reality then I would probably sell a body part or two to fund this as an option
