Steering column bearing/steering lock removal
« on: 08 March 2006, 13:47 »
Anyone know how to get the bearing & housing off the steering column

On my mk1 it just slides off but this mk2 one ive got has some strange bit on the end compessing a spring? i tried to whack it off with a hammer but it didn't budge

I've cut the spring so i can get an angle grinder to it but if theres an easier way i'd prefer it

ta

You need to use a gear puller on it, its a pain but it will come off eventually.

If it is a 90 mph per hour wind and you drive your car at 90mph downwind, if you stick your head outside would you feel the wind?

There are a few things, for a start I still haven't fitted the suspension kit thats been in my garage for over a year.  I originally bought it for my Driver
