Title: Sat nav sd card

Hi,I’m new to this site hoping for some advice have tried to update my sat nav but all the information wouldn’t fit so bought a new sd card and downloaded the information and my golf sat nav says it’s not a valid card.im not very tech savvy but this is driving me nuts lol ,I did as the man in vow said and now nothing works my original card also says not valid   :cry:,could anybody help ?

Hi I think the maps will only work with a VW card.

Which version of the Golf do you have, and which nav unit?

The Mk6 and Mk7 forums will offer specialist help...

If it's an rns unit then any SD card will work but if it's the newer style mqb units and it's not a pro nav then it'll only update using the supplied VW card. Sounds like you may have downloaded the pro maps which are bigger than the standard units maps.
