After enduring 5 painful weeks of dirt and sand, finally got time to wash and wax it today.  It was hard going and I'm knackered now!  Worth it though

Great transformation Rebecca. That's an impressive amount of Sahara sand, but looks lovely and clean and shiny now. Did you use your new Metro Vac Sidekick?

What a transformation, your car is stunning and great work

The sand looks awfull

Most of that sand came in last night's rain   Shortly after finishing it the sky darkened and along came lots of clouds!! If it rains sand tonight, I shall be sobbing into my pillow

Thanks lads.  I did use the Sidekick and it's a very nifty bit of kit

It's really useful for those many irritating water traps.  Used it in the wheel wells (Glendales have that deep groove which holds water), the rear badge, front honeycomb grill, wing mirrors, door handles, bottom sills and around boot area, including the bit where rear windscreen meets the boot.  No more annoying delayed drips   Money well spent imo.

Loving that engine cover Dan!  Didn't get time to clean my engine bay today, next time.  Mind you it's gonna look very dull compared to your deluxe bay

There's never enough time to do everything is there! My bay really needs a good clean, and really need to sort out the stonechips and get the da on the paint, keep telling myself it will happen soon ;)

I'd love a sidekick, those traps are so annoying aren't they!

What!!!   Your engine bay looks exceptionally clean to me, how much cleaner can it be?

There's isn't enough time.  My car has picked up a quite a few new stone chips from the motorway when I went up to Yorkshire in Feb   Also noticed a fair bit of tar and brake dust that's built up over the winter too.  It needs a really good decontamination, and then I'd need to get the DA on it, and then more protection......it's never ending!

Dan, everyone needs a Sidekick.  If a sidekick's good enough for Batman.....

Sailed through its MOT today with no advisories. I'd forgotten the ease of running a newer car!
