All set up for wild camping in Scotland

Is that a Thule roof rack? I keep putting off getting one cos they aren't cheap. However I'm getting pretty fed up of putting dirty bikes in the back of my car.

Yes they are! Aero bars and Thule 591s, very easy to use, together with the aero bars virtually quite even above 80mph
Gti, Candy White, 3door, DSG, Leather, Rear LEDs, Bluefin, Milltek, vwr intake, Focal speakers.

Just a good clean - wash, deal with the stone chips on the front bumper (bit of a pain as they seem to push the plastic out sideways and make a ridge which has to be sorted first). Needed to be patient while the paint dried before cutting back (wife's hairdryer helped a bit!). Don't show now so pleased with the result - and finally a full polish.
Mk6 GTI Carbon Grey, 2010 Bluetooth and voice fitted, a few VCDS mods still a comfortable family car. Red Scirocco 2011 twin charger stage 1 - enjoyable drive now gone.  White 2016 Polo GTI (roller skate on steroids) replaced with an Indium Grey 2019 7.5 GTI PP.

Bit of a tenuous link but what the hell, some good news for once...

Drove it to work today, to learn I got the senior job I was interviewed for yesterday.   More money towards next year's R   but less hours free to pamper the GTI  :undecided:

I activated the big digital speedo in my Passat, so thought I might as well do it in the Golf too.

I wanted the big speedo, so i whiped out my laptop and activated it, used it for a week.

I always have my display on oil temp or MPG. First so I know i can start thrashing it and the second to know when I should start taking it easy

Well my two daily cars only have weedy little 140 CR engines, so a thrashing is hardly worthwhile. I mostly had my MFD set to display miles to empty, but as that would hardly ever move, the digital speedo makes a refreshing change.
