'Service now' message
« on: 28 December 2010, 16:43 »
Haven't used my GTI for a couple of weeks and have just started it up in the garage.  Getting a 'service now' message but I'm on the longlife service interval - car is 18 months old and has done just 4,000 miles.  Car is mostly used for long runs so can't imagine the sensor is picking up that the oil has degraded below the required level.  Before I take the car to my local dealer thought I would ask if anyone else has suffered this.

Thanks

Which ever comes first ? If it was mine i would give it an oil change with longlife of course.

But its time and distance, and your case its time thats coming up on the senser?
