I would double check the soundaktor is plugged in. I know people do unplug them, it's fairly easy to check..

Went to polish the rear bumper where I removed the mudflaps, realised the paint is damaged because of them so I'll need to get the rear bumper blown in at some point, which will be when stone chip damage takes it.

So just gave the car a good clean inside and out and put a bit more Detail Spray on it as it really helps keep the ceramic clean and polished the exhaust tips.

Also discovered a dent in my drivers door, clearly from someone in another car. I think it's too shallow to fix so I'll just have to live with it.

I’d get the dent done by one of the paintless dent removal guys, wont cost much and it would annoy me no end - especially on a stunning car like yours

So my car went in today to be sorted, I am on software 1788 and was categorically told that there was no software update available. There was a big one in the works from VW but couldn’t tell me when this was due out and o just had to wait. He said it will fix the ACC issue and roadsign recognition.

I am absolutely raging that despite my car slowing itself down randomly and not allowing me to overtake whilst using ACC they expect me just to accept it and keep paying.

My speaker is also faulty and I need a new one. Not sure I fancy them taking my whole dashboard off mind so might just make do with the crackle. Only happens once.

Get in touch with VW U.K. executive office. They’re currently dealing with my complaint

I'm not normally a fan of red cars, but that is honestly stunning.

I regret the red sometimes I think I should've waited for an indium grey or gone white silver again, but it's not a luxury you can afford when buying used and want high spec.

Just prefer a metallic colour really.

I have recently discovered this Facebook page which tracks down cars which have been crashed & repaired, some stolen & recovered, some cloned, some "clocked", but almost all having their previous "damage" hidden & being sold on at either private sales, auctions, small dealers & even main VW dealers!

https://www.facebook.com/dodgycarsuk/?ref=page_internal

Loads of MK7 Golf GTD/GTI/R appear on this page!

The information the Admin gets is from the insurance sites such as "Vcheck" here:-

https://www.vcheck.uk/

Although it is legal to fully repair & sell a fixed car, some of this info will NOT show in an HPI check & main dealers know this!

Just above the picture in the link is an option to look inside (sample some of the content).

I think if your unit picks up the update and loads it in then it works. It doesn't reset the unit or do anything fancy. 👍

Well this is what I have, it still accepts the new data as a valid update, but nothing changes.
I'll assume it's the latest, and leave it as is. I don't really use it anyway
Thanks all!
J.
