Hi, just wondering if you kind guys can possibly help. My wife has a 2014 Golf 2.0 diesel hatchback and apparently when driving all these messages popped up on the screen.
Any ideas what the issue could be - I’m assuming they can’t all have gone wrong at the same time so something else must be going on?

I had a front assist error a number of times last summer a d each time cleaning the fly/bug remnants off the front radar cleared the issue. Check the front radar and look how dirty it is a d clean if necessary but take care not to move it.

@Random Guy; how old is the car’s battery? Quite often multiple error messages is a sign that the battery is on borrowed time.

It's very likely to be battery related. It would be worth testing the voltage with the ignition off and also with the car running to see if it is holding enough voltage/charging enough as well if the battery is dying.

I was also going to say battery. As when I disconnected my battery last time I saw similar errors come up when I reconnected it, they went away after about 2 minutes though
One thing you could try (if you don't have an OBD11 or similar to check battery voltage:
Turn ignition on > Press and hold the 0.0 button below speedo > Release when screen says 'Battery'. This will show you the battery State of Charge

Thanks gents, I will go and test the battery with a multimeter now.
I have just run VCDS and cleared all the codes - these are the ones that popped straight back up again?

As a quick update, wiped the codes again and nothing came back up. Took the car for a quick drive and all seems ok again,
All very strange - I’ve put the battery on charge (although it was at 14.2v with engine running and 12.6v with nothing on, so seems ok) and will see how it plays out over the week.
From what I’ve read, it sounds like if the abs sensor on the rear right fails it can make the system throw up 101 fault codes, so if it comes back I might change it out just in case...

Your VCDS is way out of date..17.1.3??...Current version is 21.3.

Those battery voltages seem to be spot on. I keep checking mine every now and again before I start it and it's always around 11.6V before I start it :grin:

I have these exact same warnings, plus one for the tyre pressure monitoring system and one for bend lighting, on my GTI currently. It started about a week ago and was intermittent at first - sometimes they'd appear at start up, sometimes after 15 mins driving, then they might clear themselves and reappear etc. Now they appear at start up and stay lit.
It went into my local specialist, whose immediate reaction was ABS sensor issue. Sure enough they diagnosed the right rear ABS sensor not reading at all and the left rear reading intermittently. Parts were on back order, so now waiting for them to arrive. Expecting it to be about £250-300 job.
Ok to drive in the meantime, just being careful without ABS. No parking sensors is the most annoying thing!

Tbh that makes perfect sense. All of the messages the op has are things that depend on the abs system working and a faulty sensor definitely will stop it.

Thank you both - the faults came back.
I think it could be the rear right wheel sensor, as it says open or short circuit (C101D code) - for the sake of £20 I’ll give that a go first.
PS One thing I did see when faults were logged is that the voltage was captured as 13v... Battery seems ok, 14.3v when engine is on and 12.6v when off...not sure why it is capturing 13v... :undecided:

Just as a quick update for people who may need help in the future - I changed the rear right abs sensor and it seems to have solved the issue. I will keep driving it and will know for sure by end of next week.
If anyone else has this fault it does seem to always be the rear right abs sensor which triggers it (assuming of course the battery is ok)...

Great news.
Many systems rely on data from the ABS sensor, obviously ABS, but traction control, stability control, cruise, even TPMS uses ABS the sensor (to calculate tyre pressure by circumference), probably even more i have failed to mention.
