cheers jv,

Been on here a while now so thought it was about time I started a thread about the progress on my Golf 1.8T.

Bought it standard in Feb 09 looking like this:

Standard AUM engined 1.8 Turbo but at some point in its life someone had fitted R32 xenons and full black leather.

Ran it standard for about 6 months and then the modifying bug bit

First up was a rolling road day where it produced a very healthy 159.1bhp, impressive considering the car was standard and unmodified.

So, the next step was a remap, Forge 007 dv and Forge induction kit.

Had a small problem, found out my breather pipe was split in half, from the remap i'm guessing, so bought and fitted a new one.

December 09 and Father Christmas brought me a boot spoiler, supplied fitted and painted! But, havent got any pictures of it at the moment...

January 2010 and it passed the MOT with no advisories, bring on another year of modifying!

So onto the present day and with Ultimate Dubs coming up, the Golf is currently off the road for the next round of mods.

Wheels were one of the first things that had to be done and after looking at loads of different types, settled on these:

18" Excite alloys, in immaculate condition with virtually brand new rubber and supplied with spacers all round. Big thanks to paul_k for taking them all the way back to Dartford when they were only just originally up the road from me!

So with wheels bought, the next obvious thing was suspension. Cue another roadtrip, this time north to Stafford to collect a set of FK Highsport coilovers:

old against the new
