Oil additives

Has anyone put oil additive in when doing oil change I use it in my older car years ago not planing to use it I was just wondering ( well unless it good for it and will not do any harm )

Personally I just use high quality oil of the right type, at the right time. If you're unusually hard on your oil, I think there could be some benefit to changing it more frequently.

As backa says use good quality oil that meets vw spec and quality filter. I change oil and filter every 6 months - my preference - but seems to keep the engine trouble free.
Mk6 GTI Carbon Grey, 2010 Bluetooth and voice fitted, a few VCDS mods still a comfortable family car. Red Scirocco 2011 twin charger stage 1 - enjoyable drive now gone.  White 2016 Polo GTI (roller skate on steroids) replaced with an Indium Grey 2019 7.5 GTI PP.

As above - regular changes better than any snake oil additive
