I wouldn't expect too much of a power loss - how much is your kit likely to weigh?
Do you notice a significant performance loss when you have a passenger? Thought not.

fair point, when you have rear wheel drive or 4 wheel, but in a front wheel drive car you cant keep the power down anyway, there's no point in having a mk3 with over 200 ish bhp cos you cant use it
