Advise Needed!

Cheapest insurance for VW GTD - Unfortunately I have zero no claims??

Been driving a company van which is insured through the company for any driver over 25.

Thanks in advance.

Money Supermarket is your best bet, do a fictional quote see how it comes out.  Mine is about £300 a year (33 year old, 9 years no claims)

Did one a little while back cheapest was about £1200....shocking lol

Can we list how much everyone is paying along with age, where we live? and who the insurance company is??

Get that breakdown cancelled or suspended - you get 12 free months VW assistance (WTF do Audi and Skoda get 3 years and Seat get 2 years though?)
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

It's the full bells and whistles including European cover etc (as I found out when I arrived in Le Havre in a brand new MK5 Golf and the car stopped and insisted on wanting dealership attention - a sensor had decided the car had no oil. VW assistance sorted the French equivalent of the RAC to sort it). It was last time I had to make use of it - double check it, but i'm 99% sure.

VW Insurance were actually fairly competitive last year when I first got my GTI. Most insurance companies were coming out at about £1,200 and VW quoted me £979 (after a bit of haggling). In the end I went with Sky Insurance (one of the forum sponsors) for £850.

This year I've switched to Endsleigh for £630.

It definitely pays to spend as much time as you can using all the comparison sites, going direct to those not on there and considering specialists like Sky Insurance.

(I'm 26, the insurance covers me and my wife, we live in North London, 4 years NCD, 12,000 miles per year including business use.)

Definitely room for haggling with VW insurance - so don't take their first price (they might ask you what you're currently paying, so knock about 20% off that figure). They asked me what I would be paying (£274 with Esure is what I will be doing when I renew), quoted me £742, but said realistically they could probably get it down to £550.

VW insurance were actually more competitive than I thought. They quoted me £350 after I told them I had a quote for £243 and cited VW repairers as the difference - I still didn't take it but it was much closer than I thought with the same level of cover as I got with direct line. Certainly a lot if room for haggling if you want to go with them.

Well VW never got back to me after the 7 days included cover. Might be something to do with the fact that i'm 21 and they know they can't be competitive
