Handbrake cables..
« on: 23 December 2009, 19:34 »
So I'm selling my mk1 (actually I'm trading it for a mk2 valver) and I accidentally snapped the handbrake cable a few weeks ago when applying it for the first time!  :lipsrsealed:

I need to replace the handbrake cables tomorrow in the snow. Any tips for making the job easier and a general description of the steps I need to do? I usually have my Dad to help me with the car but I'm doing this one on my own!

Thanks :)

Thanks Dinx, I've got the brown haynes with instructions but I was wondering if there were any useful tips I should know before doing the job :)

Also, what type of drums will I have? It's a 1981 1.5 GLS. The book has manual adjustment, auto lever adjustment and one other that I cant remember the name of..

job is getting done either boxing day or day after due to snow. :)
