Sootchucker: That's exactly the place. Never recalled my GTD ever flexing there when rubbing the bodywork during sealant application, must have missed it.

Machine polished the front wing tonight to get rid of 3 very stubborn bird poo etchings that weren't shifting with anything

Came up good :)

Never tried tardis but have heard good things about it. How do you apply it, is it a spray solution?

Really easy to use - brilliant tar remover

As Tardis is solvent based - good idea to use a chemical resistant spray head (as opposed to a standard one) if decanting it into a spray bottle.

Yes mate very tempted. Although a couple of things stopping me just now.
I'm only 1 year into a 4 year PCP so it will probably be quite dear to change.
Plus I'm keen to see what the Club GTI / R400/420 is all about before going ahead.

So got out of work today and to my dismay I had a bird poo on my lovely paintwork! I was a bit concerned after reading various posts on soft paintwork and damage caused by bird poo. But as soon as I got home I washed it off with some hot water and thankfully paintwork is unblemished  :smiley:
