xenon conversion

Looking at some HID conversion kits to upgrade my standard headlights.  Just wondering which kits are best and peoples experinces with them thanks.

In standard MK3 headlights yes :) when i ran them i just faced them down so they wasn't to blind people, can't really comment on any kits to be honest forgotten what mine was :D

Nope HID's kits are, factory fitted xenon's are a different ball game.

Yeah was also considering xenons for my mk3, but not any more :cry:

Just read that if you replace halogen bulbs with xenons, its illegal because the lenses aren't made for the xenons and makes them too bright or something :laugh: -  hopefully its right.

You put them on now, and you will take them off this time next year as from 2012 having HIDs fitted will be an automatic fail on an MOT.

FK have a full blown OEM style xenon conversion for sale from their website. However, it costs close to a grand and the headlights look rubbish. I just use some uprated Phillips bulbs, they've worked great for me  :smiley:
