No dipped beam indication on dash (sides and full are there)

There's no dipped beam lights indication on the Golf either unless you look at the light switch.

WAT?  Aww come on, why they do this?  Do no modern cars have the dipped indicator anymore?  Why the hell would they not include it?

None of my MKV, VI, VII have had it. I leave the lights permanently in AUTO mode and unless you have a keen eye for the backlit dials it can be hard to tell if the dips are on or not.
