Title: New to the forum, but not VW’s!

New here as looking for one of the following over the next few weeks. - Golf R, Golf GTi. Looking for a decent spec car, 17 plate or newer.

I have previously owned Mk1 GTI, Mk2 GTI, MK2 GTIi 16v and Corrado 16v and a G60, so have enjoyed numerous fast VW,s.

Look forward to the banter and learning about the current (Mk7.5) cars.

Hi Minotaur and welcome to the forum! I hope you're not going to be like a bull in a china shop :laugh:

If the budget will stretch can I recommend a TCR? Unless you prefer a manual of course.

Trouble is right now you’ll be paying a hell of a lot for what you get. But good luck! I’ve owned just about each of the varieties of performance Golf and they all have their plus points so whatever model you go for it’ll be a good choice :afro:
