Oh and that engine mount, isn't that the one you chopped a chunk out of?  :whistle:

think their was something in the road as it was complete flat tarmac

and yea it was the very mount, made a error in cutting a square angular line out of it, needs to be a curve to take the stress

maybe it gave way meaning the engine hit the floor or the sump did  ? who knows, luckily the break wedged together so movement was only around 1CM

lucky ? probably

all good now tho, new braket has been subject to a correct strength and shock test

Ah, that's possible that the mount basically jammed together and the engine just tapped the ground.
Just to think of it, if the engine had dropped completely to the floor it may have destroyed all of the mounts and other items..  :undecided:

this is good brad lovin every update at the mo shame about the mount but like you say till something happens you can't really tell its a weak point! glad you have sorted it  :smiley: i have decided to go for a turbo on my abf and will keep you upto speed with progress  :smiley:

Nah I mean if the car bottoms out again, what's the next point to go sorta thing?

Quality build though, wish I had the funds!

Also switched to a colder Spark plug which i should have really done a while ago, much better for high power / Bigger Turbo application
