For peace of mind is there a dealer near you that has a GTI/ GTI Clubsport you can pop down and check if that’s doing the same thing? Although if other owners have the same that’s probably a waste of time.drive it an enjoy it

« Last post by Carlosfandango on 10 July 2025, 23:17 »I have been able to turn off lane assist in my 8.5 using Carista, I set it as remembering it’s last state, but I have also had connection issues with OBDeleven and Carista, sometimes it connects and allows me to view individual modules, and sometimes not, it seems to be a case of try and try again. I’ve not actually tried VCDS as I have no VINs remaining, and as I have the option of using the other platforms I’ve not purchased more. I was an early adopter of Carista years ago when it was a low one off cost, so have grandfather rights of unlimited full use, hence why I have been using both that and OBDeleven.

« Last post by Simon_CS81 on 10 July 2025, 20:50 »Hi, yes have tried changing the sound settings - makes no difference. For me I reckon I hear it just as much if not more in Eco! If it was just when lifting off after acceleration that would be one thing, but it’s odd the way it does it just driving normally, everytime the turbo adjusts when the gear changes, and even low pressure. I’ll mention it at the first service but guess it’s normal - glad I got the Harmon kardon to help disguise the noise!

Early apologies if this cuts across protocol and happy to be moderated in first post , but I’m actively searching for the above .
Ideally looking for 5 door/ manual / without modifications and hopefully less than 40,000 miles and some meaningful service history .
Having driven the Mk1 all the way through to Mk 7.5 I remain a massive fan and hopefully I can acquire one of your carefully cherished cars?
Of course , if there is a Wanted section please can this to moved to that section and I’ll keep checking into the Sale section on new availability .

« Last post by monkeyhanger on 10 July 2025, 10:04 »After the suggestion of inputting VIN on OBD11 to get a connection on my 2025 3 week old RS3, finally managed to connect, could see all the modules, was able to clear 8 logged faults, but could do nothing else. None of the modules would open except gateway. Needed to be in central electronics to try and get lane assist to stay off when switched off, turn off audible speed alarm by default and a few other bits. Tried unlocking SFD, to no avail. Hopefully an update to the OBD11 software soon will open these up.
Does VCDS have module access?
Everything is taking an absolute age to connect within. Might be worth getting a Carista unit if that works.
