As above is completely right.
You've got 14 days, I phoned VW finance to withdraw from my PCP (no reason required but they usually ask why) and have 5 days interest added which was around £5 per day.
I'm just waiting on the letter arriving to confirm all the details and will then pay it off.

Also, got to see you decided on your next car. I really liked my '71' plate M340d. It was so smooth and could shift with the torque it had. Only sold as value was back to what I paid for it 8 monyhs later. You'll defo enjoy it.

I’m wondering if the significant reduction in bare wheel weight offsets any negatives in the wider wheel/ tyre combo?
I always understood that a reduction in unspring weight was always positive.
I’ve decided to make my 7.5 Performance a keeper.
And I like to do something good every year.

I've moved to 18'' CM Prets for summer, kept the Parkers for winter.
The CMs from memory they weigh 10~ kgs. they are 8J (not 8.5 sorry) and I went with 235 tyre, Kuhmo Ecstas. They reduced my mpg from around 45 to around 40 on my usual work commute.
Gone back to my Parkers for winter with BF Goodridge All season tyres and I'm back up approaching 45mpg
The ride is much plusher on the CMs/235 tyres, grip appeared to increase, handling more "wafty",  but direct.
Noise, no discernible difference.
Tramlining no difference

Seconded! You might want to add the spec of your car to your signature strip, that way whenever you ask a qestion people will know basically what you've got.

Golf mk7 / Headlamp delay - delay when flashing headlights

Forgive me for what might seem a very insignificant issue, however it still bothers me.

Lets say I've pulled behind a parked car and I'm flashing someone in front of me, there seems to be a delay for my headlights to flash, they appear to sweep or just a bit slow when I pull the indicator lever.

There may be a setting I haven't found yet but any suggestions are welcome.

You have 14 days from the date you sign the agreement to withdraw. You will be charged interest daily from the date you sign the agreement, to the date you request to withdraw. Once you request to withdraw, the interest is ‘frozen’ but you still have 30 days to make the payment to clear the agreement.

Can anyone give me real life experience of difference in any/all respects by changing “up” from standard 18”Parkers to after market alloys?

I’m thinking about ride, handling, road holding, noise, tramlining. Better, worse, same?

I should add that the Parkers weigh 13.3 k and the after markets weigh 9.7k per bare wheel.

The 8.5 rims are extremely strong in case anyone comments.

(I still swerve wildly between doing nothing and changing….. it’s hell I tell you!)
