Welcome. It sounds like a nicely optioned car.

Enjoy.

Long shot but if anyone has a used VW breakdown down kit which as I can see was an option but standard in some markets let me know.

Shortly going to France for a roadtrip and need to sort out the required bits. Back up plan is to just buy a kit from Amazon.

I think I prefer the OZ HLT.

And…….“collection only” means a 650 mile round trip for me.

Thanks for the heads-up anyway.

Where about are you P6GTD? I'm heading north early August and if you are Scotland way could bring them with me. Genuinely mint and look incredible In the flesh.

Cheers

Buy them. And quickly. I would have snapped those up if I hadn't already bought the OZ.

I also looked into a retrofit but the part comes back as €4,200 plus VAT. Yikes!

you mean set of Warmenau wheels ?

No that was the price a supplier quoted me to order the Akra exhaust by itself. They weren't even sure if they could order it though because I believe VW will only supply it for a car that had it originally, so it may be restricted by VIN or something.

Or if any of you are extremely serious about the sound system, there is only 1 way to go in the MK7 which is the purpose built and designed Audison kit, but be warned it is not cheap.
I've heard it myself and it sounds insane, you can literally hear every single instrument so clearly. I just couldn't afford or justify the price tag which at the time I was searching when I bought my car, was aprox £1200 and £1500 fitted with sound deadening etc

Personally I found all the Helix stuff too much faff, so I went for a tiny sub made by Hertz which gets wired directly into the original wring and away you go, the box has 3 small subs, 1 on each panel and a built in amp that compliments the subs needs.
I must say with the original speakers and the additional bass it sounds lavly.
Hertz sub was about £300 installed iirc
