If you work there, you could always take your headunit out, take it in and get someone to test it b4 you buy it...

Too bad, its worth a try tho...apparently anything older than '03 model jvc hu won't work. Like i wasnt sure if my hu or ipod 5th gen would work together, i took it to car audio centre and they showed it all working together.

iPod car kit compatibility is as follows:-

Pioneer- any head unit with "P" in the part number is compatible (DEHP or KEHP) part (CD-IPB100)

Alpine- any head unit with "A" in the part number is compatible (CDA or TDA) part (KCA420i)

Kenwood- any head unit that is "Cd Changer" compatible from KDC4 and above, part (KCA-IP500)

Sony- any head unit that is "Cd Changer" compatible from CDXF and above, part (IPOD001)

Jvc- again any head unit "Cd Changer" compatible will work with iPod interface

Factory fit Gamma, Beta and Delta 6 are also compatible (MK4 & MK5)

General rule of thumb, any unit that can run a changer can run an iPod, the leads above are proper kits that charge and run the iPod through the head unit.
You can also do 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack (AUX IN) but it will not charge or control iPod.

Hope that helps

Also forgot to say

Minis 4 & 6 gig
Photos 20 & 60 gig
Videos 30 & 60 gig
Nanos 2 & 4 gig

Are all fully compatible with iPod kits

Some 2nd generation (4 buttons below screen) are aswell, but may not get full functionality.

Using the interface that lets you run a changer through the standard headunits also lets you run a sony iPod interface :)

Nicky, I might need the ISO to Alpine headunit loom for the CDA-9812RB, how much could you sort that out for me?
