It is a very good price so can see the attraction.  Be interested to hear what it's like when you have the chance to use it

you mean after I drill through my bonnet

well the item has been updated to "shipped" so thats the first hurdle over, looks like amazon are genuinely going to post this over the pond for £6 lol.

If another slightly related topic, do you think you could DA the black shiny plastic pillar pieces with SRP or even maybe plastx to get the swirl marks out of them?

Yes you can use a DA on the plastic pillar pieces but make sure you mask off the rubber window seals first.  Would advise periodically inspecting your progress by shining an LED light on the area you are working now and then, as you go along, so you can see how many more passes with the DA are required.

Your call.  Never used PlastX so can't comment.  I would use the SRP.  I Always use same on the pillar plastic as I use on rest of car, which for me, is usually Poorboys SSR (Super Swirl Remover) in whatever cutting compund is neccesary, depending in severity of swirls, i.e either SSR1, SSR2 or SSR 2.5 if really bad.

Not sure about SRP but Poorboys SSR polishes are fine to use on plastics such as the lights.

Meguiars 105 & 205, you shouldn't need them on the whole car unless your paint is shagged, which I doubt.

Hey Y'all, (i'm an american convert now)

Just checked up on my order, its left the amazon place and is now with the courier so should be here by next week! Whilst on the good ol' USA Amazon site, I started thinking what else could be cheap and I probably could do with getting some more supplies.

I shall wait for the da to arrive first but:

http://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-G3502-Polishing-Power-Pack/dp/B009OBVXDO/ref=sr_1_3?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1433756111&sr=1-3&keywords=meguiars+da
against...
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Meguiars-Action-Polishing-Power-POLISH/dp/B00CQZLLDC/ref=sr_1_34?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1433756209&sr=1-34&keywords=Meguiar%27s+da

now you may be able to find it cheaper elsewhere but these are both supposed to be meguiars amazon accounts, the price difference is staggering, plus if I order over $25 worth of stuff which is easily done, I get this:

http://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-G10464-Deep-Crystal-Wash/dp/B0009U7Y2I/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1433756293&sr=1-1&keywords=s+G10464+Deep+Crystal+Car+Wash+-&pebp=1433756293945&perid=129Y6YS0PTN7E3XM3NQA

for $3.48!!!

its £18.33 on UK amazon... http://www.amazon.co.uk/MeguiarS-G10464-Deep-Crystal-Wash/dp/B0009U7Y2I/ref=sr_1_4?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1433756325&sr=1-4&keywords=deep+crystal+wash

I'm a stingy git I know, but I did a mock order of these with a cutting compound and a few waxing pads and it came to £75 (including the £18 crystal) and even with fees and shipping my US order came to £43, saving £30 or if you wanna be anal 43%!

All this post needs is the star spangled banner playing in the background
