new handles and alarm
« on: 12 June 2010, 12:09 »
well didnt think i was in a an area that thiefs lurked in corners etc

woke up the ther week ,to find my window open

it wasnt untill i got into my car did i find my stereo missing, not to bothered about that as it was a few years old and playing up with me

so i desided to get out and have a look round my car to see how they got in

passenger side lock was a dirty great hole, been hammered in,drivers lock wasnt to great, but not hammered in fully, just a bit bent

so now after that experience ive desided to buy 5 dr back handles and put them on my doors, ive a 3dr golf vr6

phoned the police ,then my insurance, insurance lady was kind ,i gave her the model number and serial numbers of the stereo and amp that was in there, get 650 euro back minus the 150 euro part i need to pay

not bad for a stereo that was over 5 years old and on its way out

bought some handles from ebay 4.50 quid each ,and a tenner delevery for both
and a cheap alarm with central locking on it for 60 euro on our ebay thing here in finland

getting a new alpine ida stereo

thank god they didnt look in the boot ,my spl sub and amp was in there still

Why people fit security on their cars AFTER they get mugged?

Good that they didn't smash any windows. Handles are cheap and easy to replace.
