Highered it by 10mm and put my white wheels back on with brand new rubber on  :smiley: much better handling  :cool: i also changed the gearbox oil, put new starter motor on and changed the coolant with 50/50 antifreeze  :smiley:

bought winter tyres, washed down old alloys and going to nip to halfords now to get some paint primer and laquer to spray them

Just shows you how much money garages rip off the unknown public on parts  :angry:


they completely take the p*ss sometimes . . .
my mrs peugeot 206  :sick: needed a new top mount, catalytic converter, and head gasket, so went to her parents usual garage and she got quoted £1078  :shocked:

so i ordered the parts for a little over £100 and a new outfit from her work (anne summers) as a treat for me doing the work for her  :cool:

Took off driveshaft, got covered in CV grease to find out the joint i got sent wont fit.

On trolley jack, overnight, in a public carpark  :grin:

staying on the jack tonight aswell? or get the driveshaft back on yet?


and today ive primed my winter alloys, and givent them two layers of colour, actually looking prety good for a bodge job with a few rattle cans from halfords  :grin: :lipsrsealed:

this was them after the very first thin layer of paint


now had a second good layer, no primer to be seen now, and hopefully winter tyres will come tomorow, then stick two last layers of colour, a few layers of laquer then get the winter tyres on them in a few days :)

Yes, and most of next week, i may swap the jack for an axle stand though  :grin:
