Found loads of scratches on my bonnet when i went out to the car this morning  i hate cats!! Went to Halfords and bought a bottle of G3 scratch remover for a tenner and it removed most of them so it will do for now

Unlikely to be pet cats, unless your neighbours have panthers. More likely to be foxes, I have had fox paw prints and scratches on mine in the past.

Golf GTi 8v mk2 1990
Coilovers, BBS RA, K&N Induction Kit...

Where i live is surrounded by fields so it could be foxes, but nearly everyone around here owns at least 1 cat so i thought it might be them. They are always sat on someones car. I'l stick to my staffordshire bull terrier, she hasn't tried to sit on my car yet lol

Not been on for a while. Few things checked off my list.
1. Bought and fitted lowering kit. eBay bargain £16.00
2. Removed crappy smelly underlay and re fitted new thicker stuff
3. Removed corrosion from wheel centre caps
4. Removed crappy chrome finish from gti badges (not sure what colour to do)
5. Had 2 massive holes in footwells welded up

Gettin there......

These arrived so I can replace the nasty mild steel ones that have rotted off the old s/s system

Heavy duty stainless too so shouldn't need to replace them again

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.

Walked past it a couple of times and stared in awe at how clean it is after my 250mile journey on Sunday! Oh what a fresh layer of wax does to your car...and my smile

Played dodgems with a Ford KA that got shunted out in front of me.  My ninja reaction skills/ handling / braking were truly tested as I was doing 60mph!  Thanks VW!
Other drivers were OK, but the driver at fault didn't hang about for long
