And then booked a test drive for a MK5 GT TDI 170 for Saturday morning........ :undecided:

:afro:

And got a test drive after work tonight in a MK5 GT TDI 140.  Looks crap but at least it will give me an indication of what to expect

Is the 140 not a better bet than a 170 from what I have read.

Yeah I've read that and dont get it. How can more power be worse? Im not quite understanding it. Plus you get a nice twin exhaust (like the GTI) with the 170.

I think it is to do with the 170 having more problems

Fits and starts I believe - just wanting to test drive both to see how they perform and get a performance yardstick

Dont think it looks that bad . . . .

Well compared to a GTI maybe . . . which you can get for that money  :lipsrsealed:

I could get an Edition 30 for that money  :lipsrsealed:

Only driving it to see what its like.  Ideally I'd find one which had the bigger wheels, few bits and bobs; anything to try and stop me tinkering!  Hence why I'm also looking at A3 S Lines as cosmetically they are pretty much sorted
