Gave the Clubby a wash last night and have come to the decision that time is up and it's time to sell the car on ... nothing wrong at all with it , great fun car, but i just can't justify it anymore as i do not get use ... Time for it to get appreciated elsewhere

Are you replacing it with something Aidey or just making do without?
How are you disposing of it?



And what have I done to my mk8 today(?), not much but managed to get 40mpg out of it at long last. I’m kind of getting the hang of this driving lark now after almost 40 years…

I'll make do without for the next 6 months or so, the wife has a Taigo for work, I work a few miles away from home so can walk ..

I have no idea where to sell it lol as I usually part ex with my dealers for my next car.. so I'll have to research prices etc next

Might be worth trying Volkswizard to see if they’d like it. I’ve always be curious how their offers compare.

Sad times though. I was just thinking the other day I don’t use mine as much at the moment, but I’m not able to get out at all without a car, so it’s starting, might as well have something nice.

I sold my MK7 GTI to Volkswizard, he’s a nice guy. Paid nicely above what motorway and WBAC offered and a little above what Cotswold BMW were offering as trade in, WBAC in particular will low ball the offer once they see the car anyway, so seemed like a decent deal, and I also wanted it to go to a good home, which it did, he sold it next day I believe to a like minded GTI fan, and could have sold it six times over apparently, I could have sold it privately and got a little more out of it, but this way removed any risk of hassle down the line, so if I were @Aidey, and the car is stock, I’d give Andrew a call.

Highly recommend selling to Volkswizard. Andrew is a very fair and honest bloke.

He is also an agent for other garages - what one of his videos for the email address.
