Map Updates

Seemed there’s a European map update dated 20 June 2022:

Are there any tips for performing this above and beyond the instructions in the download manual.  It was a complete faff on the MK7.5.

Ah, cool. Are these updates in the background? None of the updates which have notifications have mentioned nav maps.

Its one of those small updates that only takes a few seconds to install... you get the notification when its there. In the system settings you'll see "Navigation database" with a version number underneath. Mine is 22.3 now but it was 21.x when I bought the car.

I don't remember getting an update for at least a month now but every so often one pops up.

Just checked mine on my return from having my 1896 s/w update and my nav is on 22.5

Checked mine has moved to 22.6

VW Digital Services - Germany confirmed to me the driver is not actively informed about an online map update process, and it does happen automatically in the background.

Interestingly ONLINE map updates now take place up to 12 times a year.
