cheap g60 mk2?
« on: 09 March 2012, 23:23 »
i don't really follow up much on mk2 g60's but this appeared cheap to what i've seen, cosmetically a bag of sh*t but remove the stickers, dents and some new wheels would look a tidy motor for £1300

Not a dig at you, it is cheap, but always be weary of cheap charged motors.

Well, the price isn't to bad because I guess the engines the only thing of value there. The cars a nail from the look of the pics.

If the charger/engines not about to go BOOOOM then it's a cheap sleeper!

£500 for a charger plus seals on top that could be 40% of cars worth?

Feck it, let's see if Chuff can haggle it down.  He is after something to tinker with after all.

but if they are good, for very little money you can have yourself a tidy g60, you could easily sell the wheels on and get banded steels or bbs, something nice, then remove the stickers and dents, you got yourself a tidy motor, all providing it's engine is good

Its not just knocking out a few dents with old cars like these though is it. You're almost guaranteed to have some rust somewhere, so it means getting it treated, cut out, welded up, painted, possibly new panels, no doubt a new interior if the exteriors f**ked too, and then protecting it blah blah blah, and thats if the engine is good. If they've let the bodywork get in that sort of state, why would they have taken good care of an engine that need constant attention?  :undecided: Soon your bankrupt and have a car thats only half finished, when you could have got a minter for half the price you've paid overall.
