'Racing spec'
« on: 23 January 2008, 15:47 »
As ever Ebay continues to provide random humour.  I was looking at the auction for this Golf.  I did email the seller asking him to explain the 'racing spec', but as he hasn't answered I was wondering whether any of you guys could help me out here - what part of this Golf is 'racing spec'?

Is it the 6 disc autochanger?

Is it the air con?

Is it the wooden trim?

I just can't figure it out (nice car though, except for the wooden trim )
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Maybe its the "go faster" racing stripe/scratch down the drivers side?

Honestly can't see anything on that car relating to any form of motorsport, is the syncro an OE option? guess it would handle quite well & coupled to the VR then maybe the seller thinks it is justified as a race car

Yes it is.  We never got the Golf3 Syncro in RHD because of similar issues to those I'm discovering with my G2 Syncro here.

Mostly, there's a steering column where the exhaust should be!
