yeah thats the  only thing im not keen on, the front and rears have been colour coded apart from the lower bits.....

i still cant work out a few things.....

it was 1st registered in 89 on the f plate, in the service history (vw) book, but it had its delivery inspection by vw (i take it this is when vw take delivery at a dealers etc). so i know its 88/89 made, it has small front brakes making it avery late 88, 50 mm throttle bodies and around 88 it should be on small bumpers (which alot of peeps changed to big ones as this one has), it also has rainbow interior from a 90 spec plus, now from what ive read in the past 'campaign' models were available in this colour, and had the later rainbow spec seats also, if this is the case as well as landing and oakey ive bagged a 'campaign' one at that into the bargin, if thats the case then its back to small bumpers and some of the polish le castawotsit wheels will be found and put on!!

any one know the details of the campaign models?? theres a campaign register some where online isnt there??

not bothered if it isnt but if it is then ill revert it to how it should be, if not its just had later seats and bumpers put on....

wagen wheels just confirmed my 88 gti is a campaign. Mine is schwarz black with dark rear lights rainbow interior and castellettes 14" Although ive taken em off for now. So sounds like yours is too from how you describe it.

Could you not find out by using the VIN number?
