'2 box' and '3 box' exhaust systems
« on: 25 July 2009, 14:44 »
Looking at jetex exhausts for the mk2.

The 16v model has options of '2 box' or '3 box'. Am i right in thinking the 2 box just has a piece of metal tube for the downpipe and the '3 box' has some form of noise reduction going on instead?

Prices are the same.

Yep the 2 box has a bit of pipe where the front box would be.

I was wondering the same since they have the same option for the Vento. Would the 2 box be noticably louder?
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3

Not really, I had a Vectra with the front silencer removed was a lot deeper note however.
