I had the philips bulbes in when thay first brought them out. Thay are brighter than stander bulbs but not as good as the new LED.
The glass around them looks blue but when swich on give off a white light. Is something to do with the gas and how it reacts with the an electical currant past throught it, to why the bulb has to be blue. You some times see big trucks with the same thing going on.
