So had my second long life service done today (34k miles). The dealer has done the Lubrication service both times now...says at 34k I dont need the bigger one yet..they will do that at the next one...around 50K..

So, it's saved me some dosh...and the important oil has been changed...but could this be bad for the car not doing the big one this time ?

i would have thought that the big one would ahve been done by now.  Even if it wasnt due i still would get it done at that mileage for peace of mind.

But then my service is time & distance which is the recommended option for the GTI
