Schumacher has always been like that, and Alonso has been doing that for quite a few years too. They both want to know exactly how every single part works, what it does and how does it affect the car. Senna was like this to, that is why he was so precise with his car, he knew exactly what every little bit did.

He was probably trying to have a good look at that air thingy they have on their car.

Which seems to do absolutely....

they're much faster through the speed trap than any other car , Button was upto 8kph faster than Rosberg in qualifying,  they just lose it on the twistys and that huge speedbump on turn 6.

lotus and virgin did pretty well considering. 5 seconds is still a big gap but not the 9 seconds people were talking about in testing.

It was incredibly boring!  I don't think the new longer gayer track helped though.
