Has anybody here sucessfully repaired their module with a resolder?

sorry to dig up an old thread , but yes I fixed both of mine today at £0 cost , just had to clean up and resolder.

I am currently experiencing an issue on my drivers side tho , will lock with fob , but wont unlock with fob , will with key ?

Probably the gearing or a position switch in the module didn't go back together properly.

whats the red stuff on the solder?

Conformal coating to protect the solder joints. Kind of like a laquer.

2- the passengers side puddle light dnt work nor does the interior lights come on when I only open passengers side .

3 - what is odd tho is it will open and lock as normal when I'm locking up for the night or if I open it in the morning ?
