I've got a JCW 2016, never a big fan of the mini until i foolishly took the demo one out for a test drive,
made the young salesman look rather pasty faced when we returned to the dealership in Shrewsbury.
i had to have it.

A colleague has a red 2015 JCW, what it lacks in outright pace is certainly made up for in other areas. A proper fun hatch.

Thought about washing my GTD, realised its only been 6 months since the last wash by the Polish carwashers, decided to save 8 quid and leave it til the spring

Dirt doesn't show on LSG (maybe, i keep telling myself).

I did use a babywipe on the numberplate though.

Car is filthy but due to sheer laziness, I washed and polished my wheels and exhaust tips and left the rest until another week.
They look great and really show the rest of the car up now
As I was doing the wheels, I tried to imagine what they would look like powder coated in black.
Anyone seen any pictures of black Austin's ?

Took the car up to my in laws for xmas dinner yesterday. A round trip of about 60 miles with 4 adults and an 11yr old.
It's the first time the car has had more than 2 people in it since I got it!
It didn't feel any different at all and pulled like a train, really impressive
It was a lot of dark country road and the HBA worked in a fashion but very cool when it did.
Also I gave the sat nav it's first work out and that was very good as well.
Happy Christmas all you performance Golf owners

^^ And a Happy Christmas to you Kalimon

Had mine down to Cornwall in November for a week with 4 adults and all the necessary baggage. Amazed it all fitted! Performed really well, effortless and gutsy plus an average of around 40mpg. Really impressive!

Cheers guys and best wishes to all for 2017.  Hope it's better than 2016.

Been doing a lot of short journeys recently and pottering about in it.  oil temp barely gets to 50C in this weather. A bit worried this will gunk things up (injectors/valves etc) or will the port injectors keep things clean? any advice?

Replaced the footrest after getting one in my Christmas stocking:

Very easy to switch it and it's a nice little detail that makes the footwell a lot smarter. Some new mats are the next thing to get hold of.
