Thanks JV

So then! Got myself a real GTI

Heres some pics from the advert:

Pic I took on the M25 services:

Then my mate took a couple of pics on his phone for me as I still havent taken any:

And when my mate was fitting the front splitter for me yesterday, jacking up the front lifted up the rear

It took 2 blocks of wood, 1 scissor jack to raise sill 1 inch then a trolley jack

As alot of people have already done, (Thanks guys!) I have a comments thread here: http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=102197.0

Right then, so a list of bits that need doing!

Short Term:

Oil change, pretty sharpish!

Rear Bumper - Got a spare with it, which the bodyshop is picking up today! Ready for pickup saturday
Sill cover
VR6 splitter (Standard GTI Splitter on there for now)
Glovebox Handle  My fault that one!
Tint inside of headlights? Will get a second set of lights before I do this

Sell the Mk2 - ASAP as my grans already annoyed with it on her drive

Longer term:

New wheels, probs Scmidt Modern Lines - £900ish
Personal Numberplate? (If not, get regular font numberplates) - £490 + plates £30
Heated Seats (need the loom putting in  ) - Got loom, not sure if I will bother this winter now though

Thats basically it really, also want to get a load of decent cleaning gear like wash mitt, drying cloth, polish, the works basically!

I also had the ABS light come on the other day but I think i was where my water pipe got a hole in it and leaked out everywhere :undecided:

The bodyshop guy said that moisture had got behind the filler on the spare bumper I got with the car so that plan went down the pan!

Hopefully though, a couple of my mates will be picking up a front and rear bumper for me, colourcoded vr6 ones, in the right colour, for £50 :smug: Just hope the rear one is good enough for smoothing!

Going to have 3 sets of bumpers now though

Also going to be ordering the side trim thats missing at the end of the week (no time before hand :undecided:) and if my VR6 splitter turns up this week, my mates going to help fit that on saturday morning

Alls good, I think!

Just cleaned the car in the rain... not fun

Got the VR6 splitter on now, but within about 20mins of fitting it, it got cracked on my mates driveway
