Thanks Kyle, dead easy, just the one Torx screw you can see in one of the pictures on the side, then the whole unit slides upwards to release two plastic "claws" that locate the unit into the metal underneath on the floor and that's it. No other parts to take apart, literally took just a few minutes.

Only thing I did to do was slightly trim some plastic from the claws in the new parts as they were a bit tight compared to the original and I didn't want to snap them off when thumping the new unit down into position with my fist, and worked like a treat.

Looks great mate! Thanks for making me want to spend more cash

That footrest does look nifty. It completes that section of the car. Where did you get yours from.

That looks bloody good!!

Really tempted by something similar (if not identical) for mine in 19" - any links as to where you got them from?

Perfect fit Ken.

The ideal setup in my opinion is 19 x 9" ET47 with 255/35/19 tyres. Lower the car with VWR springs and you've got a mean looking motor ;)

They are not on Ebay at the minute....but most Seat dealers can get them.
I actually got mine from Seat Dealership in Barnsley....they had a few sets to sell in order to meet sales targets. They did have a few sets left I believe.

Going from the standard 18" wheels to the 19" has hardly altered the ride quality what so ever.....it says a lot about the MQB platform.
